The Rule of 100

Domain: Business
Constraint: Inefficient
Goal: Grow
Type: Tip

100 per day x 100 days

How it works

You do 100 primary actions every day for 100 straight days.

The promise is simple: you will generate more and grow like never before.

It’s a simple brute force game of volume and repetition.

This way you focus on doing the reps consistently, not forcing the muscle to grow. In the end, you’ll still build the muscle you want, without the downsides and bad days that come from obsessing over results.

It helps with considering failure and success as feddback data instead of death and miracle.

Easy Example: Marketing

If you apply the rule of 100 to marketing, you will generate more engaged leads and never go hungry again.

For example, per day, you do:

  • 100 cold DMs
  • or 100 calls
  • or 100 pieces of content
  • or $100 in ads

... and you repeat this over 100 days (more than 3 months).

Doing this, in only 3 months time, you can easily promise yourself two things:

  1. You’ll be way better at doing the thing
  2. You’ll aave way more results than now

Note: Variations exist around 100 minutes/day instead of 100 actions/day, but the core is doing 100 of something that matters.

Remember:

  1. Maximizers always beat optimizers.
  2. Volume negates luck.
