Social Pitch Framework
You’re at a social event and need to pitch something.
Here’s the best and simplest social pitch framework:
Name → Same → Fame → Pain → Aim → Game
Steps:
- Name:
What is my name and business name? - Same:
What is it that I’m the same as something people already understand? - Fame:
What makes me famous, interesting or different? - Pain:
What pain do I solve? What effort/sacrifice do I remove for people? - Aim:
What am I aiming for right now? What am I working on in the next 90 days? - Game:
What is my bigger game? What is my bigger vision? What do I want to achieve in the next 3 to 6 years?
Example:
Name: Hi, I’m Elon Musk, founder of SpaceX and Tesla.
Same: Think NASA meets Ford. Reusable rockets and electric cars.
Fame: We’re the ones landing rockets vertically like sci-fi, and pushing EVs from niche to mainstream while most said it was impossible.
Pain: Governments and companies waste billions on slow, expensive space travel and fossil-dependent cars that choke cities and futures.
Aim: Right now, in the next 90 days, we’re targeting Starship’s next full-stack flight test and ramping Cybertruck deliveries while scaling 4680 battery production.
Game: Our big game is multi-planetary life: making humanity a spacefaring civilization within 3-6 years by building a self-sustaining city on Mars, while accelerating sustainable energy on Earth to avoid single-planet extinction risk.
